SUMMER MASS SCHEDULE

From June 13th till Labor Day we will have a single Sunday Mass at 9am. Confessions will begin at 8:30 and we will have a coffee hour after Mass. There will be no weekday Masses except on Feast days and Solemnities as noted on our calendar (no solemnities until August). For these we will have an 8:30am Spoken Mass in the chapel preceded by morning prayer at 8am. Prayer books for morning prayer will be available.

CATECHESIS FOR FIRST HOLY COMMUNION AND CONFIRMATION

Sundays after the 9am Mass, 15 minutes after coffee hour begins. We will have these catechesis sessions on Sundays August 1st and August 8th. The First Reconciliation will be Friday, August 20th, starting at 4:30pm.

CGS MATERIALS MAKING NIGHTS

Calling all creatives and contemplatives: projects for all skill levels, from sewing to prayer cards, to staining and painting. We'll have drop-in Materials Making nights on Wednesdays beginning July 14th from 6-8pm throughout the summer. There is lots of work to be done to get our atria ready for the fall. Babes-in-arms and older teens welcome, but no children, please. Please let us know to expect you at cgs@mountcalvary.com.

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY BEGINNING IN THE FALL: POT PROVIDENCE

Beginning this fall, we're planning our major midweek Masses to be at 6pm followed by a potluck--that is, Pot Providence. Evening Masses on Midweek Holy Days of Obligation are difficult for families who need to coordinate dinner. We don't eat before Mass, and a family meal after Mass is too late (at least for most children). That is, unless we can eat immediately after Mass at church. This won't be nearly as extensive as a Sunday coffee hour, but just a simple, collaborative meal. To make this happen, we need a coordinator who can spearhead the effort. If interested, please email Becky (office@mountcalvary.com) or speak with Fr. Scharbach.
