Weekday Bible Studies

There will be two weekly Bible studies beginning October 3. Fr. Scharbach will lead a study on Wednesday mornings at 9:00 am. This study will look at Jesus through the Gospel of John. Our hope is to invite some of the men and women we minister to on Saturday mornings to join us; open to parishioners and visitors alike. A 7:00 pm Wednesday evening study will be facilitated by Abby Scharbach. Get an overview of salvation history as we journey through Scripture using Ascension Press' Bible Timeline curriculum. Sign up for materials on September 16.

Troops of St. George Boys' Fall Campout (Grades 7-12)

The nascent Troops of St. George will go to Catoctin Mountain State Park. Mass, devotional prayer, and inspirational talks, all while hiking, camping, and enjoying the outdoors. Dads are encouraged to attend. Please see Fr. Scharbach or Mike Norton to confirm your spot.

Bus Stop Breakfast

We will host our next Bus Stop Breakfast on October 6. Mount Calvary parishioners will prepare and serve a hot breakfast to the community outside our front doors. There is a methadone clinic across the street from the church, and many men and women who are struggling with addiction visit the clinic on Saturday mornings for treatment. We are able to serve them in a small way as we hand out egg sandwiches and hot coffee. The ministry, although new, has brought many opportunities for deep conversation, prayer, and witness. And we hope we can continue to touch the hearts of these men and women with the love of Christ and give them hope in their struggles. Contact Abby Scharbach for details.
